Is JEE Main only about problem-solving?
No. Problem-solving is the visible skill. Underneath, JEE demands ~5,000 memorized facts (formulas, reagents, standard results, inorganic reactions). Students who neglect recall spend problem-solving time re-deriving basics — losing the time race.
Is NCERT enough for JEE Main?
For inorganic chemistry and basic physics/math, largely yes. For advanced physics and math problems, you need HC Verma, DC Pandey, or Cengage. Chemistry benefits from Morrison and Boyd for organic mechanisms.
