Which format to pick
Multiple choice tests recognition. Short answer tests recall (harder and more effective). Mixed is a good default. True/false is fastest but weakest.

Grade the quiz honestly. For every miss, write a flashcard for that fact. Reset it into your review deck for tomorrow. That's the loop that beats rereading.
